Hello church family!
Thank you, families and volunteers, for a wonderful year of Faith Formation classes! We engaged in playful faith formation experiences that followed the lectionary and were rooted in church life. This year we began using Whirl videos and those were definitely a highlight! We watched lively videos, featuring the Whirl kids, that helped make the Bible stories feel more relatable. Thank you, families, for bringing your children to Faith Formation and helping them grow together in faith and friendship. Thank you, volunteer leaders, for all of the time, energy, and care you have given our young people throughout the school year. Thank you, Tim, for the uplifting and fun music that helped bring the Bible to life each week.
This summer, we are on break from classes, but there are still fun things happening at church. First, we still have worship! The activity bags have been refreshed (new I SPY sheets!) and each week there will be a new Children’s Bulletin and a new Sunday Funnies available. Be sure to grab those before you go to your seats. Also, don’t miss Playtime at the Park! Different families will be hosting each Playtime and all are welcome. This is a great opportunity to stay connected with your church friends and maybe even make some new friends!
Finally, I’d like to say congratulations to the class of 2024 and send big hugs to their families. Having a high school graduate for the first time myself has given me a whole new understanding of this experience. I’m so proud of all of our young people graduating. All of our graduates and their families are in my prayers. We gave each graduate a congratulatory card that included the following blessing. I hope these words will bless each of you, as well.
Wherever you are in life today, be filled with encouragement.
The problems and concerns of today will be different tomorrow,
but God’s faithfulness never changes.
May you feel peace, knowing you do not travel this life alone.
Happy summer!
Much love and many blessings,
Rachel Burns
