Hello church family!
We had a fun and busy spring! In faith formation, we participated in the church wide theme, “Everything In Between” and then resumed our lessons following the lectionary. We always have fun with stories, crafts, and music. Be sure to check out the bulletin board in the lobby which is showing off our most recent art. It symbolizes 1 John 4:7. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.” Thank you, families, for bringing your children to participate in faith formation and thank you to our volunteer teachers and helpers for your time, love, and energy! We are on a break from faith formation for the summer but I’m already looking forward to next year.
Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported our youth musical, “The Wizard of Oz.” I’m so proud of our young people who brought the timeless story to life, and grateful for our adult leaders who guided, taught, organized, created, and more. Our youth learn so much throughout the rehearsal and performance process. Thank you, church family, for supporting this important ministry. We are so blessed!
We have some fun and important events coming up this summer. The mission trip will be June 15-19. Our church family has an opportunity to help by donating items for the ministries of Washington UCC in Cincinnati, where we will be working. Please see the graphic for more information. We will accept donations through June 15th.
Registration for Vacation Bible School is now open. “Compassion Camp: Changing the World with Lovingkindness” will take place in the evenings July 20-24. 6th-12th graders and adults who would like to volunteer should also fill out the registration form. Register at tinyurl.com/LCCVBS25
Additionally, we will have Popsicles on the Porch and a Family Playgroup gathering. More information can be found here in The Columns and also in the lobby. You can always reach out to me, too, for more information or to chat.
I hope you have a refreshing and joyful summer!
Many blessings,
Rachel Burns
