The Wonders of Our World
psalm 24:1a
“The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,”

Welcome to July! I was blessed to visit my son near Seattle. During my visit we travelled up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. The scenery was breathtaking. The snow-capped mountain range and brushed clouds affirmed the amazing wonders of God’s creation. I pondered the beautiful blue liminal space between the mountains and clouds, thinking of the heavenly realm and what wonders lie just past our vision? How is God working in our lives? As you enjoy this season of summer, may you experience the wonders of God’s creation that surround us.
Thanks to the guiding hand of Sandie King, the power of beauty and art was celebrated last Sunday after church as members of our family gathered to express their artistic creativity by making collages. We look forward to her offering this opportunity to experience the power of art, again.
Starting Tuesday, July 2nd, 9th, 16th and 30th at 1:30 in the Parlor, I invite you to participate in discussion about the book The Universal Christ: How a Forgotten Reality Can Change Everything We see, Hope For, And Believe by Richard Rohr. Please join us even if you haven’t read the book.
The Adult Faith Formation Team will meet on Thursday July 18th at 6:30PM in the parlor. We will discuss opportunities and plan for fall faith formation activities. Please feel free to join our team.
May these warm summer months present an invitation to fully embrace this season of color, growth, family and fun.
Blessings, grace and peace,
Rev. Catherine
