All are Welcome at Lakewood Congregational Church

In keeping with the spirit of our Mission Statement, Lakewood Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, is an Open and Affirming congregation. Wherever you are on life’s journey, we welcome you and all people of every sexual orientation, age, ability, gender identity and expression, and ethnic, economic, and racial background into the full life and ministry of our church.
We declare this in the everlasting grace of the Still-Speaking God.
Sunday Morning Worship

Every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM Eastern, all gather together for worship, education, and fellowship. Almost all worship services will include: a greeting or announcements, meditation, music, prayer, call-and-response, a reading from the Bible, a reflection or sermon, and an invitation to socialize.
During most weeks, children from Pre-K to fifth grade can participate in faith formation classes with their peers. But all of God’s children are always welcome and cherished in the worship service.
Students in grades six-twelve have faith formation classes on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Learn more about LCC’s faith formation.
Following the worship service, in-person worshippers are invited attend fellowship hour. All ages can catch up with old and new friends, reflect on the service, enjoy a cup of Fair Trade Coffee, tea or juice, eat a little snack, or just enjoy the company of their siblings in Christ.
Join us in-person in our ADA-accessible sanctuary or online.
Worshipping with Children of All Ages

Our church is committed to Christian education programs for all children and youth. The children and youth programs are free and available to member and non-member children. Programs include Sunday morning faith formation classes and a variety of activities for youth and teens.
Nursery Care: Infant to Age Three
LCC has a paid Nursery Caregiver that watches children Infants to Age 3 during worship. Parents/adults and teens also volunteer to help her each Sunday in the Nursery, playing with the children, rocking them, coloring with them, and even dancing and listening to music. Parents pick up their children from the nursery after worship services conclude.
